Skagit Speeder No. 30
SKAGIT STEEL &
IRON WORKS
SEDRO WOOLLEY, WASHINGTON
Most of the following information is from a typed note book kept
by Mr. Splane, a Skagit field engineer. It looks to have
been compiled
in the early 1940's and up dated into the mid-1950's. The
models are
derived from the number of engine cylinders and the tractive
effort. A
4-40 would have a four cylinder engine and develop 4000 lb. of
tractive
effort, ect.
